Purpose

The Level 5 Diploma in Information Technology builds upon the foundational knowledge from Level 4, advancing learners’ skills in programming, systems development, software engineering, databases, and networking. It equips learners with technical expertise and analytical skills necessary to solve complex IT problems, manage projects, and design IT systems for real-world applications. This qualification prepares learners for higher education or mid-level professional roles in IT.

Progression Routes

Academic

Progression to Level 6 Diploma in Information Technology or the final year of a UK undergraduate degree (Top-Up) in IT, Computing, or Information Systems.

Professional

Roles such as Systems Analyst, Software Engineer, IT Project Coordinator, Network Engineer, Database Developer, or Web Application Developer.
